12 Watt Spot A prototype of a 12 Watt giraffe spot. It has three 1W LEDs in red, yellow, green and blue. It is BRIGHT. Each LED has its own small heatsink, and the whole thing is mounted on a small fan salvaged from a computer.
The small circuit boards attached to the sides are switched mode constant current supplies - they're available very cheaply and work brilliantly.
